Choosing the right trainer for you and your dog.
We get so many phone calls asking if we can train for hunting, protection, and even service dogs. Our focus at Gray's K9 is to create a peaceful environment between dog and family. We create a place where everyone involved can be happy. Our focus is solely for family dogs.
When choosing a trainer for your dog, it is important to make sure you are choosing the right one. Ex: If you want a well trained family dog you wouldn't go to someone who trains dogs to hunt or vice versa. Just like if we broke our ankle, we wouldn't go to a dentist to fix the problem. We would go see an orthopedic; a doctor that specializes in that field.
If you want a dog trained for hunting purposes and will utilize the skills that will be taught, find a trainer who specializes in that field. Same thing goes for protection dogs and service dogs.
When deciding to bring a new dog into your pack, always think about the breed, what their bred for and what your purpose for that dog is. After you have decided what you want, always pick the right trainer for your goals.
