Real expectations for your dog's training

Realistic Expectations.
While giving your dog new commands, be persistent but also be patient and give your dog time to adjust to his new commands. It takes time for a dog to learn a command and master the command. Ex: You have a dog who is 5 years old and has always been aloud on the furniture. Now, you have decided you do not want your dog on the furniture anymore and are trying to keep the dog off. He is confused. Consistency and patience are your best virtue in teaching your "old dog new tricks".
